Model Risk Assessments for Design and Technology in Secondary Schools
All secondary schools and colleges should have received one copy of the first part of a new edition of our existing publication for work with resistant materials early in 2001. Parts 2 and 3 (concerning compliant materials and food technology) were despatched in mid-February 2002. The new edition is loose-leaf and includes risk assessments for hazardous machinery and activities, as well as updated material for hazardous substances. Note that the title has changed to Model Risk Assessments for Design and Technology.

Invaluable for A-level chemistry, CLEAPSS members and Associates can buy this at a much reduced price. A new version is now available (for both Macs & PCs). This has many new features. The price includes a full site licence. Do NOT send money. Send a separate order to CLEAPSS. After checking that you are a member, this will be forwarded to SSERC which will send the CD-ROM and invoice directly to your school or college.
Note that the original paper version of the Hazardous Chemicals Manual is now out of print.
