Are YOU eligible to use the CLEAPSS services?
If you work in school-level education in the UK almost certainly the answer is yes.
All 180 local authorities responsible for education in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and the off-shore islands are members. So ALL their schools are members and all their staff can use CLEAPSS services.
In Scotland, SSERC has a similar role to CLEAPSS and there are some reciprocal arrangements. http://www.sserc.org.uk
In addition to local authority membership, there are around 2000 associate members in the UK, including
foundation and voluntary aided schools (where not a member via a local authority),
independent schools (including academies),
incorporated colleges,
teacher-training establishments,
field centres, museums, etc,
curriculum developers.
There are also a number of overseas members (including international schools and teacher-training organisations.)
If you are unsure whether your establishment is a member of CLEAPSS, ask your colleagues or e-mail us at membership@cleapss.org.uk, being sure to give the name and full postal address of the establishment where you work.
