General Laboratory Equipment

From April 2005 we are making a break with traditional practice. Paper copies of CLEAPSS publications will no longer be available free of charge to those who should have access to an electronic version on the CLEAPSS Science Publications CD-ROM or the CLEAPSS Design and Technology Publications CD-ROM.

For the guides (L- and R- series) the cost will be £1 each and for the leaflets (PS series) the cost will be £0.25 each. Plus handling charge (£1.50 per order) and minimum order charge (£2.50 cheque with order, £5 by invoice). For more information please see our pricing policy.

The basic guide offers general advice on how to look for a repair company, what questions to ask and so on. We think this information will remain unchanged over a long period. It is supplemented by four leaflets:

These leaflets give names, addresses, phone numbers and sometimes brief comments on companies that can service and repair relevant items. These leaflets are linked directly to our database and we expect to update them frequently, in fact whenever the database is up-dated. If you ask for a copy of L103, you will automatically also be sent the latest versions of PS40 - 43. However, if at a later date you want to have, for example, your microscopes repaired, you can then contact us and ask if there is a more recent version of PS42.
